Georgia On My Mind Tour

Arrival to Tbilisi, airport transfer  and accommodation.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Tbilisi – Mtskheta –Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

Meetings with local guide in a hotel lobby and explore the capital of Georgia. First, we will visit Metekhi Cathedral – founded in the 13th century, Narikala Fortress (4th), Walk across the Bridge of Peace which is a stunning design as well as convenient crossing between the newly constructed Rike Park and the Old Town. Continue to explore underground sulphur baths (17th) – the district of naturally hot mineral waters, cafe street Shardeni, Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral and the most ancient Basilica in Tbilisi Anchiskhati (6th).

Lunch.

Drive to Mtskheta and see its historical places: Jvari Monastery (6th) and Svetitskoveli Cathedral (11th) which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta with souvenir shopping possibility.

Visit Guramishvili’s Marani (Wine cellar). High technology equipped grape reprocessing store, degustation hall and other items of infrastructure in the surrounding area of the cellar with oldest items of the Georgian cultural heritage are very interesting for the visitors. Professional visit includes tasting three sorts of wine and culinary master class in making Churchkhela (Georgian sweet from grapevine and  walnuts ), Georgian bread – Shoti baking and Khinkali cooking.

Drive back to Tbilisi.

Tbilisi – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast we travel to Gori – the birthplace of the Soviet leader Stalin. We will stop at the museum of Stalin.

Museum Tour.

Lunch.

After lunch drive to the cave town Uplistsikhe (1st millennium BC) – one of the first cities in Georgia carved into the rock.

We take a tour to Kutaisi – Georgia’s second largest city after Tbilisi.

Overnight in Kutaisi.

Kutaisi – Prometheus Cave – Gelati – Bagrati – Batumi

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast drive to Prometheus Cave – one of the most beautiful and interesting caves of Europe, rich with various stalagmites and stalactites.

Our next destination will be Gelati Monastery. We’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Gelati Monastery and Academy (12th).

Lunch.

After lunch we will visit Bagrati Cathedral (11th).

Drive to Batumi, passing by subtropical landscapes, citrus and tea plantations.

Overnight in Batumi.

Batumi

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast our tour will start the first stop is Europe square and statue of Medea.

Then we move to Piazza square and to Church of St. Nicholas. From here we go to Batumi port.

Afterwards group visits moving statue of Ali & Nino. The next stop is Alphabet tower of Batumi.

Then we walk down boulevard and through dancing fountains park.

Lunch,

Free day in Batumi.
Time for swimming (if the season permits).

Batumi – Shekvetili – Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast we travel to Miniature Park, where you can see the main historical buildings from all the parts of Georgia.

Lunch.

Next stop will Shekvetili Dendrological Park with over 200 giant trees of unique species, 58 species of birds from all continents and bamboo grove. Shekvetili Dendrological Park is spread over 60 hectares and units thousands of species of local and foreign exotic flora. Thousands of different exotic trees have been imported in Georgia from five continents over the past years. While approaching the unique trees, an electronic, sensor sound system will turn on, and a virtual guide will let visitors know the name, size and information about the tree.

Drive back to Tbilisi.
