Arrival to Tbilisi, airport transfer  and accommodation.

Tbilisi – Mtskheta –Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

Meetings with local guide in a hotel lobby and explore the capital of Georgia. First, we will visit Metekhi Cathedral – founded in the 13th century, Narikala Fortress (4th). Walk across the Bridge of Peace which is a stunning design as well as convenient crossing between the newly constructed Rike Park and the Old Town. Continue to explore underground sulphur baths (17th) – the district of naturally hot mineral waters, cafe street Shardeni, Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral and the most ancient Basilica in Tbilisi Anchiskhati (6th century).

Lunch.

Drive to Mtskheta and see its historical places: Jvari Monastery (6th) and Svetitskoveli Cathedral (11th) which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta with souvenir shopping possibility.

Visit Guramishvili’s Marani (Wine cellar). High technology equipped grape reprocessing store, degustation hall and other items of infrastructure in the surrounding area of the cellar with oldest items of the Georgian cultural heritage are very interesting for the visitors. Professional visit includes tasting three sorts of wine and culinary master class in making Churchkhela (Georgian sweet from grapevine and  walnuts ), Georgian bread – shoti baking and khinkali cooking.

Drive back to Tbilisi.

Tbilisi – Ananuri – Kazbegi –Gudauri

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast our path will run north along the Georgian Military Highway, to the border with Russia. Throughout the route you will be surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. On the way you will visit Ananuri fortress(16th), Jinvali Water Reservoir and see an amazing view of the Gudauri ski resort (photo shoot at beautiful sights).

Then we will visit Stepantsminda known as Kazbegi, small town in the north-east Georgia. It is well known and considered to be one of the must-see destinations in Georgia due to amazing views of mountains and stunning nature.

Lunch.

We will see Gergeti Trinity Church (14th) located on 2200 meters above sea level.

Drive to Gudauri.

Gudauri – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast we travel to Gori – the birthplace of the Soviet leader Stalin. We will stop at the museum of Stalin.

After Lunch drive to the cave town Uplistsikhe (1st millennium BC) – one of the first cities in Georgia carved into the rock.

We take a tour to Kutaisi – Georgia’s second largest city after Tbilisi.

Kutaisi – Gelati – Bagrati – Martvili – Kutaisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast at drive to Gelati Monastery. We’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Gelati Monastery and Academy (12th).

Our next destination will be Bagrati Cathedral (11th).

Lunch.

After lunch we will drive to Martvili Canyon and explore mountain river Gorge, limestone natural bridges, overview platforms, waterfalls.

Overnight in Kutaisi.

Kutaisi – Dadiani Palaces – Svaneti

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast drive to Dadiani Palace. History and Architectural Museum – is a Georgian national museum located in Zugdidi, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. The objects in the palace are connected to emperor of France Napoleon Bonaparte.

Lunch.

Next stop will be Enguri water dam. After visiting dam, we are heading to Mestia. On the way we stop several times for taking pictures and to enjoy with waterfalls and amazing views on Caucasus mountain range. We take a tour to Upper Svaneti province – UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After breakfast drive to Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography – houses historic artifacts from the Svaneti region, including unique icons and engravings, a rich collection of manuscripts, medieval weaponry, iron, silver and copper ornaments, jewelry, pottery, and a collection of textile items, ethnographic artifacts depicting ancient life in Svaneti.

Then visit Mikheil Khergiani House Museum – the Memorial House of famous Georgian mountain climber.

Lunch and kubdari (a meat filled pastry made with either beef or pork but the most popular version uses both. It should be made with cut meat and not minced meat) masterclass.

Next stop will be Svan towers – the symbol of Svaneti. Nowhere in the world is there an analogue of these unique defensive structures of the early Middle Ages epoch. Each Svan house had a similar tower, which served for the families as a refuge in case of war.

Hatsvali cable car – bringing people onto the Zuruldi ridge. Zuruldi offers breathtaking views in all directions and is an excellent place for a break.

Mestia – Ushguli – Mestia

After breakfast head to Ushguli Ethnographical Museum. The museum is very tiny, but still manages to give you a good idea

homes in the village and being able to see the inside of an ancient house is just as interesting as its collection.

Next stop will be Lamaria Church – is located on the high hill, and it is surrounded by the fence made out of rocks. Inside the church, you will see a very interesting fresco of Jesus. Usually, the sun rays do not reach inside the church, and it is lighted with the candles. This fact makes the church Lamaria even more untouchable and mysterious.

From Ushguli you can easily visit the Shkhara glacier. A beautiful day walk along the Enguri river through the Shkhara valley brings you to the foot of the valley. 

Drive back to Mestia.

Mestia – Sataflia – Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast head to Sataplia. It will surprise you with its unique sightseeing. Discover historical-cultural places, see dinosaur footprint and karst cave. After visiting the territory, unique Colchic forest and glass panoramic view.

Lunch.

Drive back to Tbilisi.
