Tbilisi – Shio Mghvime Monastery – Jvari – Mtskheta – Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel, at 10 AM, we will start our tour by driving to Mtskheta, the first capital of Georgia. Here we will visit Shio Mghvime Monastery, which was built in the 6th century and is named after the monk Shio, one of the Thirteen Syrian Fathers. Today, pilgrims and tourists alike can pay their respects at the visible grave of Shio, witnessing history embedded within the monastery’s ancient walls. Jvari, a 6th century monument standing on the top of the mountain overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. We will then head to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a burial site of Christ’s robe, was originally built in the 11th century and along with Jvari is inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tbilisi – Gori – Uplistsikhe Cave – Ateni Sioni – Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel, you will check out from the hotel and at 10 AM we will start our tour by driving to Gori, where we will visit Josef Stalin Museum. After that, we will head to Uplistsikhe Cave, a rock-hewn town, one of the oldest settlements in the Caucasus. Its literal translation is “Lord’s Fortress” and continued to be inhabited until the 13th century AD. Nowadays, it is considered to be an open-air museum. Shortly then, we wil drive to Ateni Sioni church, located in the Ateni valley, the name derives from Mount Zion in Jerusalem. It’s one of the oldest cross-domed churches in Georgia, but unlike other sacred buildings of the same age, the Church is beautifully painted with frescoes, most of which are still well preserved. Tbilisi – Ananuri – Gudauri – Kazbegi

After breakfast in the hotel, you will check out and at 10 AM, start our tour by driving to Kazbegi in northeastern Georgia. Our first stop will be at Ananuri Complex, a former residence of the Aragvi Dukes dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. The fortress beautifully overlooks the Zhinvali Dam, one of the main reservoirs of Georgia. Shortly, we will head to Gudauri Panorama, built in the late 19th century, is a circular balcony hanging off a 600-meter cliff with breathtaking views of the Caucasus Mountains. Shortly after, we will arrive in Kazbegi town and drive up to Gergeti, which is located at an altitude of 2170m above sea level, under the bed of Mount Kazbegi. Overnight stay in Kazbegi (B/-/-).
Kazbegi – Dariali George – Sno Village – Kazbegi

After breakfast at the hotel, at 10 AM, we will start our tour by driving to Dariali Gorge, one of the most spectacular gorges along the Tergi River stretching from the town of Stepantsminda to the Georgian-Russian border. Dariali in Persian means Gate of the Alans. Shortly then, we will head to Sno Village, which is situated at an elevation of 2200 meters above sea level, 20 kilometers from the town of Kazbegi, the village is famous for its giant sculptures of Georgian artist Merab Piranishvili. There are now half a dozen stone heads in the collection, each depicting a different figure from Georgian history or the arts. After enjoying your time there, you will return toKazbegi. Kazbegi – Motsameta – Kutaisi

After breakfast in the hotel, you will check out and at 10 AM, start our tour by driving to Kutaisi, the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis. On the way you will visit Motsameta Monastery, which is a hidden gem in the gorge of the Tskaltsitela River, and the beautiful mountains of Imereti. “Place of martyrs” is the meaning of the name of the monastery, which was originally built in the 8th century. Kutaisi – Martvili Canyon – Zugdidi

After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and at 10 AM, we will start our tour by driving to Martvili Canyon, one of the most scenic canyons of the country with a beautiful waterfall. You can enjoy walking through the green paths of the canyon and also here you have the opportunity to take a trip by boat to the 300 meters (one way) section of Abasha and enjoy the beautiful views of the canyon. After enjoying your time, we will head to Zugdidi and visit Dadiani Palace which was one of the first European-style palaces built in the historical territory of Odishi, today known as Zugdidi. Zugdidi – Mestia

Here you will visit Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography, where you can see 4090 permanent and diverse exhibits in the museum. There are six halls of permanent exposition here. Mestia – Ushguli – Hatsvali – Mestia

After breakfast at the hotel, at 10 AM, we will start our tour by driving to Ushguli, which is located at an altitude of 2,200 meters. This village is considered one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements in Europe. Ushguli and the entire Upper Svaneti region are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village is most famous for its abundance of watchtowers, and it offers a stunning view of the highest mountain in Georgia – Mt. Shkhara (5,068m). We will visit Lamaria Church, a small basilica built in the 12th century, famous for its frescoes and defensive tower. After that, you will continue your tour to the Hatsvali Cable Car in Mestia, 1,428 meters above sea level. After ascending 8 meters, you will reach Zuruldi Ridge, where you can follow a flat path directly north. After enjoying breathtaking views from the top of the mountain, we will drive back to Mestia.
